In the Ottoman culinary culture, sherbet is a symbolic flavor that has been accepted as a valuable drink in both the palace and public tables. The Ottoman people made different sherbets for different events and made it a tradition to offer them to their guests. The presentation of the sherbet was given importance as well as the preparation, sherbet cups and sherbet glasses made of precious metals such as silver and tombak were used.
Has Oda Sherbet Glass is inspired by traditional sherbet glasses used in palaces. The floral decoration motifs of the Has Room, that is, the throne room, located in the Topkapı Palace, are used on the glass.
Has Oda Sherbet Glass is made of hand-made glass, all the relief patterns on it are handcrafted and decorated using 24-carat gold gilding and glass paint.
