Home Tableware & Barware | Turkish Ottoman Müsenna Plate NW67341

When it comes to Ottoman cuisine, food art, food culture, table richness and variety of food come to mind. From the time of Fatih, when Topkapı Palace was built, meals were cooked in the kitchens called Matbah-ı Amire. There were units under Matbah-ı Amire such as Has Kitchen, Ağalar Cuisine, Divan Cuisine, Helvahane, Pantry, and Kalayhane. In the Ottoman Empire, various tools were used according to the palace food and beverage culture.
Pots with lids, which are small in depth, copper, brass, and ceramic examples, which are brought to the table by heating the food, have gained an important place among these kitchen tools.

The patterns on the Müsenna Plate are stylized and used in 1869 with a floral composition taken from the edge of a Müsenna Plate made with gold gilding.

Müsenna Plate is made of handmade glass and all the patterns on it are handcrafted and decorated using 24-carat gold gilding and glass paints.

Production is limited to 2,000 pieces.
