Beautifully gilt in heavy moriage relief gold on a bright porcelain background with a deep midnight navy blue border reminiscent of flow blue. A center floral focal point is surrounded by a thick urn and floral border design with a 12-sided edge and slight scallop to the plate mold, all contributing to light reflecting the depth and stunning opulence of the piece.

Marked Nippon. This is a Japanese import, vintage 1891-1921 according to McKinley Tariff Act of 1890.
