Antique sterling silver Towle 'Louis XIV' round plate dish 9362, patented December 23,1919.Lovely aged patina with intricate engraving on the plate and a raised floral border.Towle Silversmiths was originally founded in 1857 as Towle & Jones by Anthony Francis Towle and William P. Jones. In 1890, the company adopted the trademark of a large script "T" enclosing a lion.
