George Jones Majolica Table Pitcher, of baluster form with relief molded stiff acanthus leaves, grasses, and wheat on a brown ground, the top banded with stylized leaves glazed in chartreuse, with yellow glazed roping to the top rim and foot rim, the branch handle wrapped in yellow glazed ribbon, the interior glazed in pink.
This design is documented in the Karmason Library of the Majolica International Society, Number KL007295P with the designation 'Rare.'This shape, number 1806, came in three sizes, this being the largest.
For thirty years we have been among the preeminent specialists in fine antique majolica.
