in great condition except 3 plates have small chips ( 2 of the chips are not visible on the top, 1 is visible on the top).Measures 7 1/2 x 5 1/8 x 3/4 high. Designed by Franco Pozzi- true Mid-century- modern 60s. Franco Pozzi founded the "Pozzi Ceramiche" factory in 1942 with headquarters in Bolladello di Tradate, in the province of Varese. In 1953 he moved the production to Gallarate, in the province of Varese, and helped by his sons Carlo, who takes care of the administrative part, and Ambrogio who has the role of artistic and technical director, creates a production of ceramics for use and furniture, in earthenware, porcelain and stoneware, inspired by the most modern production concepts and industrial design. Over the years, among others, the following collaborate with the manufacturer: Giò Ponti , Ettore Sottsass , Enrico Baj , Arnaldo Pomodoro and Tullio Pericoli. 19 have a mark sign on the back that is different from the back of the other 13 (“decoro teheran”), however, all from the same artist and manufacturer.
