A beautiful Italian "Blue Carnation" faience tea pot decorated with red, dark blue and yellow flowers with greenery on a pale blue background in a chinoiserie pattern, opaque glazes on a sturdy earthenware motif, 7" diameter, 7" height, adopted from a 16th century pattern, circa fourth quarter of the 20th century, Vecchia Faenza inscribed on the bottom of the tea pot, provenance Gump's, San Francisco, 1970's.
