We love the way this mid century silver plate covered serving dish looks on the table.
3 pieces in all, the interior is made of ceramic and is meant to hold hot foods. The exterior and lid are metal with a silver plate finish and a cool mid century handle on its top.

Made by Ball and marked on the underside of the ceramic insert.

Minor surface wear. Natural silver oxidation. No worn off silver plate but you could shine this piece up with silver polish if you choose to. There is one natural hairline fissure on the edge of the white ceramic insert dish. It is not a crack but a fissure, likely from heat or a small bang when someone was washing it at some point in time.
