A colorful French faience trivet or stand from the Emaux de Longwy art pottery workshop in France. The vintage ceramic stand rests on four feet and is an octagonal shape designed for display and use on a tabletop.

The vivid enameled glaze in a cloisonné-style Chinoiserie design consists of a central pair of birds perched on cherry blossom branches alongside a butterfly. The white ground of the central medallion features Longwy's signature Chinese-style craquelure glaze. The upper rim framing the central design is a complementary deep cobalt blue. The piece is in very good condition, measuring 10.75 in. W x 1.25 in. H.

The underside of the trivet has a green printed circular Longwy mark, featuring a crown over Lorraine crosses with Decore A La Main (decorated by hand) at the top, Emaux de Longwy incorporated into the logo, with FRANCE below. There is a second "Rehausse / AM" mark identifying the enhancer, André Masson. Masson was employed at Longwy from November 1942 through September 1946.
