Hallmarked with (3) crowns and the name ROYAL HICKMAN. Royal Arden Hickman was a truly gifted set designer and prop maker in many old Hollywood Black and White films..If you have ever seen an old Black and White Film from the 1930's -1960's chances are you have seen the Set Design,Furniture,Lamps and Tableware of Royal Hickman.He worked with the best directors in Old Hollywood even the GREAT Mr Alfred Hitchcock..He was also a master Ceramacist and Silversmith. This set was more than likely made in his Palm Beach studios....While it is a bit pricey...you are acquiring a great American Master of the early 20th century .And one that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Royal Hickman designed for Haeger Potteries (Dundee, Illinois) during the 1930’s to the early 1940’s. His range of work over the years included creations in ceramic, glass, metals and wood for firms as diverse as International Silver, J. H. Vernon (New York), Heisey Glass, Vernon Kilns as well as his own label.His pieces are found in some of the best private and public collections and even owned by crowned monarchs in Europe.
