The majolica fruit bowl has been a beloved family piece. It may have been shipped from France when my family arrived in 1936, There was lots of majolica, not to be left behind.

The colors are sublime. I love how the pink interior of the shell contrasts with the aqua blue of the exterior. There is a sea shell on the pedestal as well.

The fruit bowl cheers me up every time I walk past it.
