This is a wonderful set of cups by renowned California Artist, Neils Fredricksen. The red clay is thick and hand-formed. The glaze is blue and rust layered like sand sculptures for a marbled effect. These cups are substantial and have the look and feel of early mid-century work.
Frederiksen was a student of Edith Heath and Marguerite Wildenhain. He attended UC Berkeley and worked in Nevada City and Greenwood, CA.
