I'm unsure of how one drinks from these, other than drinking something straight and quickly. During the late 40s to mid 60s entertaining for ladies apparently demanded EVERYTHING have stems. I have rocks glasses in this design that ALSO have stems. There were apparently two varieties of everything- one for ladies- with stems. And one without - for gentleman. I like both styles and they seem to hold the same amount. I have other pieces of this set listed separately in my chairish store. Followers of my store get notifications of new listings and discounts.
