If you don't know what those are- those are the flowers ( or seed cones) of Humulus lupulus- the hops plant.THOSE- dear friends- are what MAKES BEER!!! They are adorning a set of 8 dessert bowls made by W.S. George in the "bolero" edge with gold trim, all made here in the good old US of A.
These are 9.25"w x 9.25"d x .75"h.That's technically bigger than standard salad plates, but not quite a dinner plate. A standard dinner plate is 10", so these are 3/4" shy of that.I would use it as a full size plate anyway.
Beer battered fish tastes FABULOUS off these plates.
