Home Tableware & Barware | Early 21st Century Large Artisan Pottery Ombre Bubble Glazed Blue and Purple Leaf Mug XP10169

This gorgeous extra large mug (or vase, pitcher, or utensil crock... really however you want to use it!) has a beautifully blended ombre glaze featuring blue, purple, and a little bit of teal. See the leaf-like shapes organically patterned about. The glaze has these spectacular 'bubbles' that have formed in select areas, adding to the rustic feeling.

The mug itself has a sturdy and comfortable form, with soft ridges semi visible inside and out from the hand-thrown making process. The handle has a slight curve (see photos) for comfort as the hand grabs it, and even has a thumb rest on the upper handle rim! Lots of intention in this piece of pottery. Unfortunately we do not know much about the maker's mark on the bottom (see photo).

Measurements:

- 7.25" H x 5.5" W at the widest and tallest points
- the actual interior space of the mug is about 7" H x 3.75" diameter
- the handle extends roughly 2" off the side of the mug, with an opening roughly 3.5" x 2"

In excellent condition, no cracks! Very minor wear as expected with age. As with all vintage items, natural wear and age are apparent, which just enhance the unique appeal.

As with all vintage items, natural wear and age are apparent, which just enhance the unique appeal:- Very minor wear as expected with age (so minor, barely any wear and could likely be considered 'like new')- bubbles have formed in the glaze however this detail seems very intentional and not a defect due their size and placement less
