This is a large round place made by Vernon Kilns is part of their Vernonware line, made in the early 20th century. This dish would have been used as a serving platter. This plaid pattern is called Organdie. Organdie was designed by artist Gale Turnbull. It was the first plaid Vernonware and the other plaids designs followed. The Organdie pattern was produced between 1937 and 1958. It's in excellent condition.
