Home Tableware & Barware | 19th Century Silverplate Tilting Teapot With Stand & Burner- 2 Pieces NP66267

I like to think of the stories this beautiful pumpkin shaped teapot with stand & burner could tell.It is a large 3 quart capacity Sheffield Plate & was made by J. Creswick with hallmark indicating manufacture circa 1830.It is engraved on both sides with griffins, latin phrases, "Speramus," and "Fuimus" & lion passant indicating Clan Bruce. The teapot sits on a pierced stand with cabriolet legs terminating on shell formed feet. Hinged teapot lid opens easily.Pin securing pot to stand is missing.

Teapot measure approximately 9" diameter.
