Add to a whimsical porcelain collection with this elegant antique Majolica pitcher. Crafted in southeast France circa 1890 in the faiencerie Coursange of Poet-Laval, the figural pitcher features a standing bear with his front arms resting on his belly. The vase exhibits plentiful details, texture, and artful application of color. The piece has the number 126 on the bottom as authentication. The animal sculpture is in excellent condition and has rich colors in a dark green and black palette. The vase is features in the book "Pichets en Barbotine" by Maryse Bottero page 144.
