An English Majolica earthenware oyster plate, circa 1870-1890.

Six alternating wells of turquoise and pink are separated by green beaded bands. Theplate has a mottled glazed, round centre condiment well and a tortoise shell glazed verso.

There is a nice soft aspect to this example, both in the glazing and the molding.
Measuring a large 9.75 in. in diameter x 1.5 in. height.

Very good antique condition, the expected light surface wear and kiln effects.
