This is a long (35") stainless steel (18/10) serving tray and platter in the shape of a fish from the French gourmet product line of Jean Couzon, circa late 1970s, early 1980s. As quirky and unusual as it may seem, have to confess that I used the platter on my dresser to display my perfume collection for many years, and it has since been sitting on the dining table as a centerpiece ornament. I suppose one could also hang it on the wall or lean it on a shelf, or even display it on a bookshelf in a coastal or nautical-themed home. Obviously it is intended for serving fish and vegetable sides, or a sampling of sushi, or as a tray for serving hearty bowls of bouillabaisse, but that's what's so wonderful about it.
