John Maddock & Sons, Small TEAPOT & LID, Bombay Multicolor. 2.25 Cup, Circa 1896, Gold Trim
Eagle Bay Heirlooms is pleased to have acquired about 20 pieces of antique Royal Vitreous China by John Maddock & Sons, LTD, of Burslem, Staffordshire, England in the rare pattern called "Bombay" in the Multicolor which is a bold pattern of cobalt blue curls, rust flowers, green scrolls on the band with a crimped and gilded rim. This china is now about 125 years old. The back-stamps date these pieces to 1896, as the word LTD was added in 1896.
This listing is for: One Small-Sized Teapot & Lid with exquisite squatty tilted flower finial. This is truly a rare piece to be in this condition for it's age.
Size: 2.25 Cup capacity, 5.25" High to top of finial, 7.75" from tip of spout to back of handle.
Condition: Excellent antique condition only suffering from crazing commensurate with age. No stains, chips, repairs or cracks.
