We acquired this sweet little vase as part of a private collection. The unusual hexagonal design and glowing, translucent colors set it apart. The vase depicts an Imperial Chinese princess dressed in flowing blue and orange garments on each of its sides. She wears a yellow sash and headdress and carries a green scroll. The base features a rose, traditional symbol of love, on each face. The background is black with a copper cloud motif. The interior and underside base are a striking, almost iridescent turquoise. The mouth and base are rimmed in copper. This piece is estimated to be about 40 years old. You may also enjoy our other cloisonné objects acquired from the same collector.
