Exquisite Hand Blown Baccarat Crystal 2 1/4” Shot Glass in the Talleyrand Tarirando Pattern. This glass has six sides and is signed/stamped on the bottom.
Talleyrand is a cut crystal pattern created during the Art Deco Period - 1930’s, derived from the very well-known Harcourt pattern that has remained the most prestigious pattern so far. Also, Talleyrand has been much appreciated and a large amount of them have been produced through a few decades.
Talleyrand is listed in a 1933 catalog. This set here is signed, since it was manufactured after 1936 (when Baccarat finally replaced the old paper sticker by its stamp).
The Shot Glass is in outstanding condition with no chips or cracks.
The Shot Glass was found in the Estate of a Washington, DC Antiques Dealer about 10 years ago.
The glass measures 2 1/4” Tall x 2 1/8” Wide. It weighs 19.82 oz or 562 grams.
