Stunning pair of carafes - they appear to be decanters but have never had stoppers in them, they were most likely used for serving water. I have a similarly shaped one from Tiffany & Co. I believe their previous owner used them as vases- fab for deep pink or ruby-colored moss roses. They make terrific mantel decor. The red is very dark and appears almost black except in strong light. This makes the clear cut facets pop! Beautiful condition- obviously treasured.
Each is 8" tall and approximately 5 1/2" wide.
