Haviland Limoges French porcelain china bread and butter plates
These are part of a set inherited from my mother, who used it for special occasions as I was growing up in the 1950's and '60's. Originally complete with 12 place settings and full serving items, natural wear and tear has led to some chipping and loss due to breakage. Experts have identified it as a vintage (1920's) gold-rimmed set for special occasions. The beautiful pattern is not a standard factory pattern, so it is thought to have been specially produced for a particular customer. The value of our current set has been estimated at $2400-2600. It is listed in 18 parts, each focusing on one category of item. This entry features 2 bread and butter plates, each with a small chip in the rim. In the photo the plates are arranged with the chipped edge nearest the other plate, to assist in your evaluation of the damage. We found it helpful to have extra plates when entertaining extra guests.
