Vintage; C.1950's Italian porcelain, set ofdrinks coasters in the "Americana," themes, attributed to Piero Fornasetti.Some of these drinks casters were designed by Fornasetti, and upon visit(s) to Japan at a Porcelain Foundry, manufactured there, these similar type of drinks coasters were also manufactured for the American, Domestic market, within boutique, high-end department stores in their barware and server-ware, accessories dept., such as Gumps, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Saks, to name but a few.We had 2 sets of these, one of which had the Fornasetti logo emblazoned on some of these coasters within the underside as well as a dilapidated and worn box, while others do not have the emblazoned logo, and for the sake of authenticity and the relationship, on how it began whereupon and prior to Piero Fornasetti setting up his, "proverbial house of Fornasetti, full-fledged and running within Italy, amongst having the pieces stamped with the iconic and identifiable loge, this is the Manufacturer, where he was able to design certain, auspices to the much coveted rinks coasters we see today.
