Vintage Round Gaudy Welsh Imari Style Teapot. This Gaudy-esque pot is beautifully decorated in the Gaudy Welsh palette of cobalt blue with pink luster and russet. Highlighted with gold gilding.
This teapot was made by Lingard Webster (and Co Ltd), High Street, Tunstall, England which produced tea ware pottery from 1900-1972. The company made its name with ‘poor-mans-Crown Derby’ being an Amari (Imari) pattern pottery which was exported all over the world.
This teapot is in excellent condition with minor scratches and one small mark on the bottom. It would make a charming addition to a collection of teapots or Gaudy Welsh porcelain.
It measure. 5 1/2” Tall x 10” Wide x 6 1/4” Deep. It weighs 31.43 oz or 891 grams.
