Art Deco tea set from the famous Franck Haviland house, dating from the 1920s, Derby model n ° 6. Teapot, sugar bowl and 8 cups and saucers in mint condition.
The floral decor is unique in its rich association of various blues, enriched with points of discreet dark red and thick and sumptuous gold. The design has a very modern Art Deco composition.
The director of the company, Franck, is an artist; he paints, and signs Franck Burty. It lends its name to a decoration workshop in 1910. The white porcelain decorated in this workshop comes exclusively from Haviland & C ° and bears the Haviland Limoges stamp under chrome green enamel.
The Letourneur mark on all pieces of the service except the sugar bowl, is that of a decorator, who participated in the creation of the decoration. The sugar bowl is marked Haviland France completed with the mark ‘Edition Exposition Universelle de Paris en 1925’, when they won a prize.
