An antique Victorian 1890s Mt. Washington amberina glass water pitcher with a thumbprint pattern. The rim is dark red and squared. This creates a forward lip, and two side lips. The handle is reeded and separately applied. The pontil mark was ground and polished during manufacture.
The pitcher is 7 1/4 inches tall, 8 inches from front lip to back of handle, and 6 1/2 wide. It weighs 2 1/2 lbs. and holds 64 fluid ounces (8 cups).
No maker's mark or label. In excellent condition, with no signs of damage or defects. A truly wonderful and rare find!
