An antique sterling silver cheese scoop in the “Bead” pattern by William B Durgin Co of Concord, New Hampshire and Providence, Rhode Island. The scoop has been monogrammed and I am undecided on the letters; however, it hads a distinctive touch along with the small flourishes above and below the monogram. Perfect for a cheese service or as a gift to the cheese lover on your gift list.
The company was founded in 1853 by William Butler Durgin (1833-1905). It was eventually bought by Gorham Company in 1905.
