Here is a Mid-Century Modern coffee/tea service from Japan in a pretty pairing of white and rich coral pink. A perfectly retro color combination for a spring-time tea party or kaffeeklatsch.
The set was produced in the 1960s by the Japanese Ceramics Co. UCAGCO. It's a traditionally styled service but with clean modernist lines and a warm pop-of-color color story.
The set includes a coffee pot, sugar bowl, cream pitcher and five demitasse cups and saucers. Cups have a 4-oz capacity. (The dimensions cited below refer to the coffee pot.)
Condition is excellent pre-owned, with virtually undetectable signs of use. NOTE: There is a tiny flaw along the edge of the sugar bowl lid (See Photo). It's a production flaw in the glaze NOT a crack or chip.
