A large, beautiful hand carved Mexican batea, a large wooden platter or shallow bowl. It is hand chiseled from a single piece of wood with a vibrant floral design over a black background.
This piece was originally created in Mexico dating back to the 1930s.
In really nice condition, paint colors are still bold and intact,
"made in mexico" hand-pained on the backside with attached metal loop to make hanging easier. The screw used to attach this piece is poking through the frontside and is barely visible.
