Vintage Home is pleased to offer this gorgeous Cobalt Blue Pressed Glass Pedestal Cake Stand. The pressed glass industry was all the rage at the turn of the century and we estimate this piece was crafted in the 1939-1940s based on the technique used to create the under glass design, and the unique color for a cake plate. Cobalt Blue became extremely popular during the Art Deco era in America between 1920-1940. We do not know which American glass company produced this piece, as there were at any time during this era three to five major glass producers. The stand is in excellent near-antique condition. The under glass design is lovely with a laurel leaf design along the edge and a faux scalloped rim. 203-013
