Haviland Limoges French porcelain china serving bowl, one of two that differ only in condition. This one is perfect. Its companion has a cracked glaze.
They are part of a set that was inherited from my mother, who used it for special occasions as I was growing up in the 1950's and '60's. Experts have identified it as a vintage (1920's) gold-rimmed set for special occasions. The beautiful pattern is not a standard factory pattern, so it is thought to have been specially produced for a particular customer. Its value has been appraised at $2400-2600 at retail for the complete set. I am listing smaller groups of items in separate entries. I am willing to discuss offers for all or part of the set.
Originally complete with 12 place settings and full serving items, natural wear and tear has led to chipping and breakage. Chipped items are included in separate listings at reduced prices.
