This tankard from the 3rd quarter 18th century is of cylindrical form with the handle mounted in pewter. The place of origin is probably Nurnberg.It is polychrome painted with a stylized landscape with palm trees and a young lady walking through it.
The lid is heavy in solid pewter with a thumb rest knob. Some engravings are still visible.

Condition is good considering the age. There are two fine hairlines. The
pewter foot rim has minor breaks.
